Do we need a data processing technician to install OptiMaint ?
Standalone License installation does not require computer skill.
Network license and the choice of a database requires knowledge of database administration.
Can you recover or migrate the data of my previous CMMS ?
Most of the time, we can recover the data from your previous CMMS. This will enable you keep the equipment records and history.
For a standalone license , 'MS Access' Database will be sufficient to meet your needs. It is usually bundled in MS Office products in businesses.
For a network license, from 3 or 4 simultaneous data accesses or over, it is recommended to use Databases such as : MS SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, DB2/400, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL
Can OptiMaint be customized according to my own specification ?
Every company has its own characteristics and OptiMaint is designed to adapt your environment. With OptiMaint CMMS, You can easily:
Customise terminology of OptiMaint to suit your environment. You can use your own terms instead of OptiMaint's. For example, you can replace "cost centre" by "workshop". All screens and reports can be personalised with your terminology.
Define Mandatory fields
Hide/Display un/necessary fields.
Create your own customised fields (alphanumeric, numeric, monetary, yes/no, dropdown list, pictures ...)
Create and personalize reports.
Can OptiMaint be integrated with external equipment supervision solution?
OptiMaint was conceived to be compatible with other solutions.
It is very easy to interface OptiMaint with your external equipment supervision solution.
Thus, alarm feedback can be automated to create a work request or a work order. Similarly by using APIs, preventive maintenance can be started automatically.
Does OptiMaint License fee differ for different type of Database?
Optimaint License fee does not depend on the database.

OptiMaint policy of license is very practical and flexible.
With the Network license, you can install OptiMaint on an unlimited number of client PCs. You don't have any legal nor technical blocking or commercial restriction to install OptiMaint from 1 to 1000 client PCs.
The price depends on the number of simultaneous accesses required i.e. number of persons using the software at the same time.
Can OptiMaint be interfaced with my Accountancy, my ERP...?
OptiMaint is completely integrated in the information system of your company.
It is possible to have an automatic data exchanges with your software of purchases, of stock, ERP which avoids repeating data input, errors and time wasting.
Optimaint is compatible with your favourite spreadsheet software in order to do the reports you need.
Do we have to use all the functionalities e.g. purchase, stock..?
OptiMaint is delivered in standard version with all its functionalities. You may not need or use all of them.
For example, you may wish to manage your purchases with another software. To achieve this, simply hide purchase features or any item that you do not require from the screen.
Later on, if you wish to use OptiMaint's purchase functionalities, you can show (unhide) this menu on screen and use it.
Please note that we can create interfaces with your CAMM, Accounting ,Sales software, Purchase, ERP packages to ensure data interchanges and enable automatic updates.
Is there any optional module in OptiMaint?
OptiMaint license is delivered in full version with all its functionalities.
There is no optional module! It is a single order, a single investment and no hidden extras.
Do we need a dedicated person to use OptiMaint?
OptiMaint is an intuitive product and its windows or screens are designed to keep it simple and efficient. The navigation is self explanatory making data entry and access easy. For example, it would take only about 20 seconds to create a work order or an activity sheet.
It does not take much time for employees without any computer skill to become familiar with OptiMaint.
Most of our customer installations do not mandate a dedicated resource. In very large installations however, it may become desirable from an administrative ease angle.
How long does it take to manage the whole maintenance department with Optimaint?
Optimaint is set up as per your pace.
You can start to work even if you have not collected all the information as yet e.g. families,equipment, components etc.
The time required for OptiMaint to manage the whole Maintenance Department depends on how long you take to collate and input all your information into OptiMaint.

Thanks to OptiMaint CMMS barcode reader feature, Interventions, inventory controls, item output, can be saved. This is faster than entering Data with the keyboard.

If you have a 1-access license and because your activity and needs grow, you may get a 5 accesses license.
We then provide you a new license code (via phone, fax, email). Without any technical intervention, 5 users will be able work simultaneously. Can it be any simpler!
